Creighton women's basketball defeats St. John's 65-63 on last-second shot

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Sophomore guard Temi Carda scored with one second remaining on the clock to give the Creighton women's basketball team a 65-63 win over St. John's Sunday.

Tied at 63 with 3.6 seconds left the Jays went to Carda along the baseline to give Creighton the late lead. Carda finished with 22 points while senior forward Audrey Faber added 17.

The victory moved Creighton ahead of the .500 mark on the season to 9-8 and 3-3 in BIG EAST play. The Bluejays return home Friday as they host Xavier at D.J. Sokol Arena.
