Huskers take game one against Rutgers

The Huskers used a four run 5th inning to pull away from Rutgers on Friday night, 8-5. Scott Schreiber went 2-for-5 on the night with a home run & 3 RBI. 

Luke Roskam also homered for Nebraska as well. Omaha Westside alum Jake Meyers went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. 

Jake Hohensee went 6.2 innings striking out a career-high ten. It's the first time an NU pitcher has had double-digit strikeouts since Chance Sinclair in 2014. 

NU improved to 27-16-1 overall and 10-5-1 in the Big Ten. The Huskers & Scarlet Knights meet again at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
