The Nebraska baseball team finally won its first Big Ten series of the season on Sunday with a 5-2 victory in the rubber match against Maryland.
Scott Schreiber put the Huskers on the board in the bottom of the 4th with his 18th home run of the season. Ben Klenke also drove in a pair of runs in the 5th.
Omaha Skutt alum Matt Warren went a season-high 6.2 innings without giving up a run and striking out four.
Nebraska is now 22-23 on the season and 6-10 in the Big Ten. NU is 1.5 games back of Michigan State for the 8th spot in the conference standings. Only the top eight teams make the league tournament in Omaha later this month.
The Huskers will play at TD Ameritrade Park on Tuesday when they take on Creighton in their third and final matchup with the Jays this season. CU won both meetings earlier this year.
First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
