LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) One of the many Nebraska football newcomers expected to contribute right away is receiver Mike Williams. The JUCO transfer is known as one of the fastest Huskers.
The five-ten Williams has also been called the strongest pound-for-pound player on the team, reportedly squatting over 600 pounds.

"It definitely gives you some confidence rolling into football but football and the weight room are two different things," Williams said. "But they do go hand in hand so it gives you some confidence knowing that you're one of the strongest guys. So you should be able to put that on the field."
The junior hopes to compete for playing time in Scott Frost's new offense.
"He wants to be great," said offensive coordinator Troy Walters. "I can kind of identify with him in terms of a smaller receiver and I talked to him. I told him you've got to do things extra. You've got to do things better than the other guys because of our lack of size and he's taken that to heart. I expect great things out of him."
