After a tough overtime loss at the hands of Northwestern, Nebraska head coach Mike Riley updated injuries, answered questions about the progress of his football program, and previewed the upcoming matchup with Minnesota.

Riley said that linebacker Luke Gifford will be doubtful to play against Minnesota, while Tyrin Ferguson and Eric Lee Jr. are questionable.

Tanner Lee following OT loss to Northwestern: "We kept fighting. I still love this team."

Safeties Antonio Reed and Aaron Williams, linebacker Chris Weber and running back Jaylin Bradley will most likely be able to take the field against the Gophers.

Riley said that regarding the right tackle position, Brendan Jaimes has won the starting job regardless of the injury status of David Knevel.

Riley also answered questions regarding the state of his football program.

"My expectations are that we will have a great week of practice," Riley said. "This is a great time for all of us to not be controlled by our circumstances."

He said he tries not to mediate his players from the external noise and that he feels the team has strong senior leadership.

Riley said that he has had talks with new Athletic Director Bill Moos, but said that the content of those conversations will stay between the two.
