Scott Frost's first spring game as Nebraska's head coach is in the books, and this year it was all Red. The Red team came out victorious 49-9 in front of a record-breaking crowd in Memorial Stadium.
Adrian Martinez was the star of the Red team's offense today as he rushed for a team-high 60 yards and three touchdowns, and also completed 10 of his 13 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Tristan Gebbia also had a decent day through the air, completing 12 of his 17 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
Sophomore wide receiver Todd Honas brought in a team-high six catches for 48 yards, however both of Nebraska's top wide receivers (Stanley Morgan Jr. and J.D. Spielman) did not participate in today's sping game.
For the Blackshirts, junior linebacker Alex Davis and junior defensive back Lamar Jackson each came up with interceptions for the red team. Junior linebacker Jacob Weinmaster led the way with five tackles.
Frost said the team will practice in some capacity Monday to wrap up spring football for the Huskers.
