Nebraska leads Indiana 17-8 at halftime after a strange first half of football that included everything from a pick six, a blocked put leading to a safety, and a circus catch by wide receiver Brandon Reilly.

Nebraska started the game with a nice opening drive leading to a field goal, putting the Huskers up 3-0. On the Huskers next drive, Brandon Reilly set the Huskers up in the red zone following this circus catch:

Terrell Newby capped off the drive with a touchdown run, putting the Huskers up 10-0. Chris Jones added to the Huskers lead with an interception returned for a touchdown, giving Nebraska an early 17 point lead.

Nebraska's special teams struggled in the second quarter as Caleb Lightbourne's punt was blocked out of the back of the endzone for a safety. Indiana tacked on two field goals, cutting the Husker's lead to just 17-8.

Tommy Armstrong Jr. completed just five of 14 passes in the first half for 100 yards, including an interception late in the second quarter.

Josh Banderas leads the Blackshirts in tackles with seven, while Marcus Newby and Dedrick Young III each came up with a sack.

Huskers tackle David Knevel went down with an apparent knee injury on Nebraska's first play from scrimmage. Cole Conrad came in to replace him.
