LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) With new schemes from Nebraska football can come new stars emerging. Many Husker fans have been waiting for Mohamed Barry to burst onto the scene. The junior inside linebacker tallied 38 tackles last season. But Barry expects more from himself this year.
"I'm working on being the best I can at my position in the nation and that's we're doing," said Barry.
Barry's new position coach, Barrett Ruud, has seen the strides the Georgia native has made during the coaching transition.
"He's done a really good job," said Ruud. "I like Mo. Mo works his butt off. He's always trying to get better. He's like a sponge. I've been really happy with how Mo goes about his business."
Barry and the rest of the Big Red begin the 2018 season at home against Akron on September 1st.
