Scott Frost and Troy Walters love versatile guys on their offense that can do a little bit of everything.
This is especially true at the tight end position where the group will be counted on to do a multitude of jobs in 2018.
"[The] tight ends we need them to run routes, block as well as protection," said offensive coordinator Troy Walters. "We put a lot on them but Jack Stoll has done a great job, Austin Allen has done a great job, they're all doing a great job and we'll find roles for each of them. We're going to go in to a game where we will need two, three, four tight ends and we will find roles for each of them."
Jack Stoll is the only tight end with game-experience for the Huskers. He caught two touchdowns in 2017. Austin Allen sat out 2017 and will be a redshirt freshman in 2018 while Katerian Legrone will look to see the field as a true freshman this upcoming season.
