The Huskers drop their sixth game of the season after losing to Minnesota 54-21 on the road. Nebraska gave up 514 yards of total offense in the loss to the Gophers, who were 1-5 in Big Ten play heading into this week.
Nebraska starting quarterback Tanner Lee completed 13 of his 18 passes in the first half, but did not return for the second half due to an undisclosed illness.
Patrick O'Brien came in and completed 12 of his 18 passes for 137 yards in relief.
Minnesota quarterback Demry Croft ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns, and added another 105 yards through the air.
The bright spot for Nebraska was wide receiver J.D. Spielman who caught nine passes for 141 yards in the game.
Up next for Nebraska is a road game against Penn State Nov. 18.
