Nebraska came into this game a 21-point favorite, but finds itself trailing Illinois 13-10 at halftime. Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong has the lone Husker touchdown after punching it in on the first Husker drive.
The Huskers have racked up 223 yards of offense in the first half with 71 rushing yards and 153 passing yards. Armstrong threw an interception just before half, his second of the season. The interception set Illinois up for a quick field goal just before half.
Nebraska tight end Cethan Carter was taken to the locker room after suffering an arm injury in the first half. Jordan Westerkamp also left the game with what looked like an ankle injury, but is expected to return. Westerkamp caught three passes for 59 yards in the first half.
