On Saturday against Michigan State, 19 Husker seniors will play their final home game for Nebraska. Most of them have played for three head coaches and all of them had to overcome a 0-6 start in their last season in Lincoln.
"These guys are going to mean a lot to me as long as I'm coaching here," head coach Scott Frost said about the senior class. "Because this is going to be the group that had to go through the growing pains of change and everything. And without really good leaders and really good seniors, that wouldn't have happened. Now we're dangerous. We're a team that can beat just about anybody in this league. We've got to play well to have a chance but we're a dangerous team and the culture's better. Everybody's having more fun. It's starting to get right and without this group of guys that are leaving the program, that never could've happened."
Saturday's game against the Spartans starts at 11 a.m. on FOX.
