This past Saturday in a win over Cal State Fullerton, Nebraska softball's Kaylan Jablonski made history. The senior became the first pitcher in NCAA history to hit three home runs and pick up the win in the same game.
Jablonski's three home runs on Saturday also tied an Nebraska program record for the most homers hit in a single game. At the plate this season, Jablonski ranks second on the team with a batting average of .368 and leads the team with a slugging percentage of .663.
The former Omaha Skutt Skyhawk has also been starring in the circle this season for the Huskers. Jablonski owns a 13-5 record this year and has picked up the win or the save in 16 of Nebraska's 20 wins this season.
Jablonski is the only pitcher in the country that ranks in the top ten in both wins and saves this season. Nebraska hosts in-state rival Creighton on Wednesday at Bowlin Stadium at 6 p.m.
