LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Longtime Nebraska softball coach Rhonda Revelle has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an unspecified university review, according to our partners at the Omaha World-Herald.
According to the report, multiple sources told the World-Herald that student-athletes have shared concerns with athletic department officials since the end of the 2019 season in May.
The university released the following statement to the World-Herald:
“We take seriously any concerns raised regarding our student athletes. As part of our due diligence, Coach Revelle has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the completion of a review. With this being a personnel matter, there will be no additional comment until the review is complete.”
Revelle is the winningest coach in Husker sports history with a record of 989-568 in her 27 seasons as head coach.
Nebraska has missed the last thre NCAA Tournaments with a record of 76-83 during that stretch.
