Nebraska's Kate Smith has been named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week after her performance at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate Tournament Oct. 7-9. Smith had a career-best-three-round score of 215 to tie for seventh out of 102 players at the tournament. This marks Smith's fourth consecutive top-15 finish. Through four fall tournaments, Smith holds a team-best 73.00 stroke average.
The Huskers will close their 2016 fall season at the UNLV Collegiate Shootout in Boulder City, Nev. on Oct. 23-25.
