Omaha hockey's Luc Snuggerud will opt out on his senior year to play for the Chicago Blackhawks. Snuggerud signed a contract with the National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday, March 15th.
During his 2016-2017 season with Omaha Snuggerud was a member of the NCHC All-Conference Second Team, with a career high 11 goals, 20 assists and 31 points in 39 games. Snuggerud ranked third in the conference with 18 power-play points.
Snuggerud was drafted in the fifth round, 141st overall, next he will report to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
