University of Nebraska Omaha's goalkeeper Haley Shelton earned her second Summit League honor this season after being named Defensive Player of the Week due to her performances against Oral Roberts and Fort Wayne. She collected her third shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over Oral Roberts. She tallied 11 saves over the weekend with eight saves against Oral Roberts and three saves in a 4-1 win against Fort Wayne.
Shelton ended the week with a .917 save percentage and had a 0.50 goals-against average.
Omaha (4-8-2) travels to Indiana to take on IUPUI on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.
