Omaha Roncalli's Alex Rodgers will have a tough decision to make in the near future. The Crimson Pride junior must choose between playing football, basketball or baseball at the next level.
Rodgers already has an offer from Nebraska baseball back in September.
"It was actually pretty exciting because living in Nebraska, everyone likes them here so it was really exciting," Rodgers said.
The versatile athlete has helped Roncalli baseball to a number one ranking in Class B.
"I think it just makes me a more versatile player," said Rodgers. "I can play a lot of different positions on the field so it gives me more options."
"He's a special player and he brings a spark every single day," said Roncalli baseball coach Jake Hoover. "He's probably one of the most energetic kids I've been around. He's a great leader and he just has so much fun that it's infectious for everybody else and everyone else feeds off it."
Rodgers, a pitcher and infielder, admits he's lately been leaning towards playing football at the college at the college level but says he's open to both.
The Crimson Pride are back in action Tuesday at Ralston.
