Creighton Prep claimed its third straight state baseball title in Class A on Thursday afternoon, beating Millard South, 7-2 final, at Werner Park.
Tied at 1 heading into the sixth inning, the Junior Jays exploded for six runs in the top half of the frame to take a 7-1 advantage.
Prep also got a dominant pitching performance out of its starter Dylan Phillips. The senior lefty pitched a complete game, giving up two runs on only three hits, while striking out five. Phillips also went 4-for-4 at the plate and added an RBI.
