The American Legion senior state tournament in Class A got underway on Saturday. And at Frerichs Legion Field in Elkhorn, Bellevue West (DJ's Dugout West) got the better of Gretna (Senior Legion Post 216) in the opening round, winning 2-0.
Bellevue West will now face Elkhorn South (Woodhouse Storm) on Sunday afternoon in the winners' bracket at 4 p.m.
