As we roll on with our look back at the best from the 2017-18 school year in high school sports, next up in the "OSI's" is the Male Team of the Year.  Here are the four nominees:

CREIGHTON PREP BASEBALL

The Junior Jays entered the 2018 baseball season as the favorites to repeat in Class A, and Prep did just that.  Creighton Prep kept the tradition of state championships rolling for a third straight season on the diamond, as the Junior Jays won their third state title in a row.

OMAHA RONCALLI BASEBALL

The Crimson Pride made program history during the 2018 season.  Roncalli hadn't won a state championship in Class B baseball since 1981.  But in storybook, walk-off fashion, the Pride took home the school's first state title in baseball in 37 years.

OMAHA NORTH FOOTBALL

After finishing as runner-ups in 2016, the Vikings came out with something to prove in 2017.  Omaha North went 8-1 during the regular season and came back to beat Kearney in the Class A state title game, scoring the game-winning touchdown with just 18 seconds left to claim the Vikings' third state championship in the past five seasons.

CREIGHTON PREP BOYS BASKETBALL

The top-ranked team heading into the 2017-18 season, the Junior Jays didn't disappoint on the hardwood all year long.  Prep only lost one game in early January, and from then on, never looked back.  Creighton Prep ended the year with a 26-1 overall record and cut down the nets inside Pinnacle Bank Arena, winning the Junior Jays' second state title in Class A in the past four years.
