Lincoln Southwest came out of the gate firing and never looked back as the No. 6 Silverhawks downed No. 3 Millard North 49-38 in the first round of the Class A Girls State Basketball Tournament.

Southwest opened the game on a 13-0 run in the first quarter, but the Mustangs fought back to claim a lead for a short time in the second half.
The Silverhawks turned it on in the second half and secured a spot in the semifinals and will play the winner of the No. 2 Omaha Westside vs. No. 7 Lincoln Pius X game tomorrow night at Pinnacle Bank Arena at 8:45 p.m.
