OMAHA (KMTV) — After Omaha Public Schools decided to suspend athletics on Friday, some students from around the Metro gave their thoughts.
Omaha Burke junior Michael Matejka has started a petition against the decision.

Bellevue West junior Micah Riley also gave his thoughts on the decision.
I’m not a student in OPS but I have a voice and I use it! You the superintendent failed your student athletes! It might not be a big deal too you but for lots of kids it feels like it’s all they have. Your not giving them a chance too do what they love. 💯 @OPS_LoganSupt

Fall practices are scheduled to start in Nebraska for most schools on Monday August 10th.
