Creighton Prep, the No. 8 team in the state, took care of business with a big 30-7 win over Papillion-LaVista South Thursday night. The Titans actually knocked the Junior Jays out of the playoffs to end last season, but Prep got a little revenge with the victory.
Off the field, both teams lent their support to Brandon Steburg, the Papillion-LaVista senior who suffered a serious head injury in the Monarchs' game against Creighton Prep last week. Thursday night, the Titans' student section dressed in all gray to raise awareness for concussions. The Junior Jays featured Steburg's number in decals on their helmets.
