As the first week of fall camp rolls on for area high school football teams, our OSI Pigskin Previews continue with Bellevue West.
After winning the Class A state title back in 2016, The Thunderbirds finished the 2017 campaign at 9-2 overall, falling in the state quarterfinals. And in the eyes of head coach Michael Huffman, that isn't good enough for Bellevue West.
"We have a lot of motivation," Huffman said. "We want to be the playmakers in purple, we don't want to hide in the shadows. We want to be in the forefront."
Bellevue West returns 12 total starters, seven on offense and five on defense. One of those returning starters on the offensive side of the ball is junior wide receiver Zavier Betts, a Husker recruiting target.
