Height is not a skill you can teach.
That’s something Elkhorn South sophomore middle blocker Rylee Gray has always had since she was younger.
With that length, volleyball came natural to her. She picked up the techniques so quickly, the top programs in the country were offering her scholarships right as she entered high school.
Her decision came down to the University of Nebraska and Stanford University. She chose the Huskers so she could be close to family and friends.
Her high school head coach, Briana Janda, says Gray is a great blocker, is developing into a solid hitter and has improved most in consistency this year.
With her skill set, Gray will try and lead the Storm to its first ever class B state title.
