OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A local Facebook group called Omaha Food Lovers is selling t-shirts with all sale proceeds going towards small businesses that are registered through Together a Greater Good (TAGG).
"These places are definitely suffering. They've had to switch their business model in many cases to do a complete 180 so a lot of people are suffering with that,” said Stacy Winters, co-founder of the group.
People can visit TAGG’s website here where they can register and text to donate to specific restaurants.
Restaurants can also register on the website so that they’re on that list to receive some of those proceeds.
The designer of the shirt, Andrew Wettengel, said this is a great way to support small business owners financially and show them they're supported by the community.
"It's definitely about making sure that the small businesses and local restaurants that we love are going to be around after this,” said Wettengel.
The Omaha Food Lovers group is taking pre-orders until April 14 for the t-shirts. They cost $22 plus shipping.
