OMAHA (KMTV) — The 9th ranked Creighton men's basketball team hit the game-tying shot with 0.2 left in regulation, then hung on in overtime as the Bluejays beat UCONN on Sunday in Storrs, 76-74.
Damien Jefferson hit a short jumper in the paint to tie the score at 66 & send the game into overtime.
Christian Bishop scored a team-high 19 points for CU.
The Jays improved to 6-2 overall, 2-1 BIG EAST play. The Huskies hadn't played in 17 days due to its last four games getting canceled because of COVID-19 concerns.
CU hosts Xavier on Wednesday starting at 2 p.m. Around 1,700 fans will be allowed inside the CHI Health Center.
