LINCOLN (KMTV) — Nebraska head coach Scott Frost said Huskers wide receiver Omar Manning is ready to play on Saturday at Northwestern.

"Yeah I think we'll have a role for some of those guys hopefully this week or soon after," Frost said following Thursday's practice.

"They just need to keep learning and keep getting more consistent," said Frost of his receivers in the 2020 recruiting class.

Manning did not play or travel to NU's season opener at Ohio State on October 24.

The six-foot-four, 225 pounder was ranked as the #1 JUCO wide receiver for the 2020 class when he committed to Nebraska last December.

Frost also said on Thursday he expects linebacker Luke Reimer back after the sophomore missed the opener with an ankle injury.
