The Nebraska state wrestling tournament entered its semifinal stage on Friday evening. Eight local wrestlers started the tournament undefeated, and all eight wrestlers are still unblemished. Omaha Burke's 106-pound Joey Harrison, Millard South's 138-pound Issac Deloa, Omaha Skutt's 138-pound Bailey Vanderpool, Boys Town's 145-pound Bill Adusei, Millard North's 160-pound D.J. Coleman, Ashland-Greenwood's 182-pound Trevor Nickelson, Millard South's 220-pound Alex Cloyd, and Ashland-Greenwood's 285-pound Ben Stille are all one win away from finishing off an unblemished season.
In the team standings Millard South holds the lead in Class A, and Omaha Skutt is out in front in Class B.
