We'll see increased cloud cover on your Wednesday, staying partly cloudy into the afternoon, with some occasional peeks of sunshine. The wind will start out calm in the morning, but begins blowing in some slightly warmer, more humid air from the south, with a number of cities across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, including Omaha, getting in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.
Heading into Thursday, we'll start out the day dry and cloudy, but by the second half of the day, scattered showers will begin moving in out from the south. These rain showers will become widespread heading into your Thursday evening and night.
Some of the rain could change into wet snow heading into Friday morning, but there likely won't be much, if any accumulation. Altogether, rain totals of 0.10" to 0.20" will be common, especially south of I-80, where up to 0.50" could be possible. Areas north of I-80 will likely see closer to the 0.05" to 0.10" range.
While Friday may start out wet, the afternoon begins to dry out. It will be cloudy, breezy and cooler behind the rain and snow, holding us back in the mid 40s Friday afternoon.
The sunshine is back Saturday, but it stays cool and breezy with upper 40s.
Clocks "spring forward" Saturday night, which is also a good time to check or replace the batteries in your weather radio, carbon monoxide detectors, and smoke alarms.
We warm back up quickly early next week! Sunday will be mostly sunny with upper 50s, followed by mid 60s on Monday.
