...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation, but mainly snow and blowing snow.
Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher
amounts of 3 to 4 inches possible. Ice accumulations around a
light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and south central
Nebraska.
* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility
within areas of snow.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A narrow band of moderate, perhaps briefly
heavy, snow will move through the area over the next several
hours. Brief freezing rain may precede the snow. Strong north
winds gusting 30 to 35 MPH will cause blowing and drifting snow,
and reduced visibilities. Accumulating snow will end from west to
east Saturday morning, but strong winds will continue through the
entire day.
