Two assaulted with baseball bat downtown

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Two people suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries after being assaulted with a baseball bat near 1313 Farnam St early Saturday.

Officers responded to the scene at 2:20 a.m. where they located two victims, Kacie Edwards, 21, and Hunter Osbourne, 20. Both were assaulted in the middle of the street by suspects they knew.

Both were transported to UNMC by OFD medics.

Witnesses say the two victims and two witnesses were at Karma Nightclub at S 15th and Farnam St and saw the suspects there. No disturbance occurred at the nightclub.

Upon returning to their vehicle, the three suspects got out of their white 4-door sedan and assaulted the victims.

The three suspects were identified as Marissa Cox, Karli McCauley and Davion Wallace. Wallace used the bat in the assault.

Edwards was booked at Douglas County Corrections for Assault on a Healthcare Worker after kicking a UNMC nurse in the neck when being brought in.
