Possible COVID-19 exposure at Dollar General in Hooper, NE

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Three Rivers Public Health Department announced on Tuesday morning that a man in his 30s who tested positive for COVID-19 visited a Dollar General in Hooper, Nebraska.

The Dollar General, located at 1031 County Road 19, was visited from 1-4 PM on March 14.

The man is a resident of Knox County who had recently traveled to another state with community transmission of COVID-19. The man is said to be self-isolating at his home.

At this time, the exposure at the Dollar General is the only community exposure known to be within the Three Rivers Public Health Department health district. The department says the risk to the community remains low, but is encouraging those who were at the store to monitor for any fever or symptoms until May 28. Anyone who is developing symptoms should contact their healthcare provider and inform them of their exposure.

The North Central District Health Department provided the following potential exposure locations:

  • Saturday, March 14th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Dollar General in Hooper, NE
  • Sunday, March 15th from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM at Country Market in Bloomfield, NE
  • Monday, March 16th from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Walmart in Norfolk, NE
  • Monday, March 16th from 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM at Sonic Drive-In drive-thru in Norfolk, NE
