One person was taken to the hospital after a crash Monday morning at a west Omaha intersection.
The Omaha Police Department says the driver of a pickup truck that collided with a commercial truck at the intersection of 168th and Pacific streets suffered critical injuries.
Investigators say the pickup truck hit the commercial truck “nearly head on” as it was turning left to head south on 168th Street from westbound Pacific Street.
Two other vehicles, a Dodge Caravan and Ford Escape, were also hit. No other injuries were reported.
The crash closed the intersection from about 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. as crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles.
Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the crash.
The pickup truck driver, 28-year-old Jayme Billingsley, suffered a broken leg, broken wrist and cuts, according to police, but he is expected to be OK.
