Omaha Police have made three arrests in connection with a drive-by shooting on the same day multiple other shootings were reported.

The drive-by shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. on 40th Avenue, near Pinkney Street.

Police say the man who reported the shooting told them he was standing in the driveway when someone fired at him from a Ford SUV. He was not injured.

Officers stopped the suspect vehicle near 24th and Kansas, according to police, and took all four occupants to headquarters for questioning.

Three people were arrested.  Damone Hanks, 23, faces charges of attempted first-degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, felon in possession of a gun, shooting at an occupied dwelling and possession of a stolen firearm.

Nefetari Davis, 21, was booked on charges of accessory to a felony and a traffic offense.

A 15-year-old suspect was taken to the Douglas County Youth Center for accessory to a felony and possession of a stolen firearm.

The name of the fourth person in the SUV was not released.

The drive-by shooting was one of five reported shootings Wednesday, including one that left two people dead.
