As of Wednesday morning, OPPD officials say there are 3,422 outages remaining with 415 separate issues contributing to it.
OPPD officials say that 2,554 outages are in the northern part of Omaha, where many tree limbs have fallen and made contact with wires.
Officials say that their crews are also finding broken poles in the area.
"They continue their tough restoration work, which can be tedious at this point in the process. They have many individual house-to-house issues to check into and fix, which can take some time," OPPD says on their website.
On Tuesday night, OPPD officials reported widespread outages in the metro area due to the severe storm.
