The woman shot and killed in a shooting that also claimed the life of her 2-year-old daughter was not pregnant, according to police.
The Omaha Police Department released some of the results of an autopsy done on Destacia Straughn, 22, and her daughter, Kenacia Amerson-Straughn.
Officials say Destacia Straughn was not pregnant, contradicting multiple reports that she was pregnant with the suspect’s child.
Both of them died from gunshot wounds, according to police.
This is the latest information in the case since the Sunday evening shooting at a home near 108th Street and Military Avenue, that also left three others injured.
Earlier Tuesday, the suspect, Dontevous Loyd turned himself into police.
