Omaha native and boxing world champion Terence "Bud" Crawford is accused of damaging an Omaha body shop during a dispute with it's owner.
A police report shows Crawford went to the shop last Thursday and demanded his 1984 Chevy Monte Carlo which had been in the shop to be painted. Owner Michael Nelson told Crawford he still owed $1,350 for the work. The report says Crawford lowered the car from a hydraulic lift, and he and three others used a rope to pull the car out of the shop. The lift was stuck in the "on" position, and it got so hot the hydraulic reservoir melted and burned out the pump. The damage is estimated at $5,000.
Crawford's attorney Jason Caskey said Tuesday that he and Crawford would not comment.
