OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The jury at Bailey Boswell's murder trial found her guilty of first-degree murder.
Jurors took less than four hours to find her guilty for her involvement in the killing, dismemberment and disposal of Syndey Loofe's body back in November of 2017.
As is the case with her co-defendant and boyfriend Aubrey Trail, a three-judge panel will decide whether she faces the death penalty or life in prison.
Judges deciding on Trail's sentence are scheduled to meet this December.
The Nebraska Attorney General's Office released the following statement regarding the decision:
"The Attorney General’s Office is pleased with the determination of the jury in today’s decision. At this time, we want to thank the participating law enforcement agencies for their thorough investigation, professionalism, and ongoing support: FBI, Lincoln Police Department, Saline County Sheriff, Saline County Attorney, Clay County Sheriff and the Nebraska State Patrol. We once again offer our sympathy to the Loofe family with our hope the justice system provides some measure of condolement to them for their loss of their daughter Sydney."
