The funeral procession route for fallen Pottawattamie County Deputy Mark Burbridge has been set.
Following Deputy Burbridge's memorial service Monday at the Mid-America Center, Deputy Burbridge will be returned to Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home on North 16th Street.
The procession is expected to begin between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.. The procession will leave the Mid-America Center and head east on 23rd Avenue to South Expressway. From there it will head north to 6th Street before turning west on Kanesville Boulevard to West Broadway. It will then turn north on North 16th until reaching the funeral home. The entire length of the route is approximately 6.5 miles. More than 1,000 law enforcement vehicles are expected to take part in the procession.
Law enforcement officers attending the memorial service are asked to arrive at the Mid-America Center at 7:30 a.m. On Monday. Doors open to the general public at 8:30 a.m.. The public is asked to use the West Entry doors.
