BELLEVUE, Neb. (KMTV) — Family and friends came out to remember a 6-year-old girl whose life was cut short on Easter.

On Friday night, a group formed in the area of 22nd and Emiline where Aubrey Oregon lived.

Together, they held candles.

People remember Aubrey as a bundle of energy and she wanted to make friends with everyone around her.

"Just energy on end, man. Happiest little girl, like a little angel," Alex Doty said.

"She loved everybody. She just loved everything," Brenton Doty said.

Police say a family friend hit Aubrey as she ran into the road last Sunday.

The driver was not cited in the incident.
