The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department is now taking applications for lifeguard jobs this summer.
The city says lifeguards will work 20 to 40 hours per week at one of the city's 18 swimming facilities. Salaries range from $9.50 to $11.25 per hour. Anyone 16 and older can apply. You do not need to have a lifeguard certification. Training can be provided.
Those interested in summer jobs including lifeguards, golf concessions, recreation programmers, camp counselors, and grounds maintenance works can attend an open interview at the following times and locations: Tuesday, April 19 from 3:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. at Elmwood Park Pavilion, 802 S. 60th St. and Wednesday, April 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. also at Elmwood Park Pavilion.
