A former landmark on the Omaha riverfront is coming down.
Demolition began Monday morning on the building that once housed the Storz Trophy Room restaurant and Rick's Boatyard Café. In July, the city accepted a $139,000 bid from Anderson Excavating to knock down the building.
The city shut down the Storz Trophy Room in October 2015 after the owner fell behind on rent and back taxes. Right now It's not clear what may be built in it's place.
