Omaha police have arrested a suspect in the 2007 murder of Joy Blanchard.
Charles Simmer, 33, was arrested Friday and booked for first-degree murder.
Blanchard was found stabbed to death in her South Omaha home on November 3, 2007.
The Omaha Police Department's Cold Case Unit received a grant allowing the department to do more DNA testing which led to an arrest.
