Just hours before the polls closed, Congressman Don Bacon was doing his best to grab last-minute votes as he waived signs at 72nd and Dodge.
Congressman Bacon was joined by young volunteers from his campaign on the corner.
This is the first re-election bid for the incumbent who unseated Democrat Brad Ashford two years ago in a tight race.
His opponent Kara Eastman is more progressive than Ashford and this morning on 3 News Now, Bacon said the two greatly differ.
"She has a big government, one size approach fits-all for that," he said. "Also college education, I'm more of a pragmatic conservative so I think there are some huge differences, I mean on every issue we're different."
Bacon will be joined by Governor Pete Ricketts at a watch party at the Omaha Marriott Regency.
