OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Three people, including a Douglas County deputy, were hospitalized in a crash near 144th and Corby Sunday afternoon.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, alcohol may have been involved in the crash that ejected two women from a minivan and totaled a Douglas County cruiser. Deputy Kenneth Paulison, who was patrolling for the "You drink, you drive, you lose campaign," was wearing his seat belt and only suffered minor injuries to his face.

Everyone involved is expected to make a full recovery.

"Obviously it takes a vehicle out of service but we're thankful that Ken's injuries and other driver weren't severe," Lt. Rob Jones said. "Our message to ken is your brothers and sisters in law enforcement are here to support you. our heart goes out to you and we wish you a speedy recovery.
