The father of a Nebraska boy battling brain cancer is now in a fight of his own.
Jack Hoffman's father Andy announced on Facebook that he is battling a massive brain tumor.
Andy wrote that he had a seizure while running on the cowboy trail in Atkinson on Sunday. A subsequent MRI revealed the diagnosis.
“After spending the last 9 years helping my son with his fight with brain cancer, and many others, I have now learned first hand what these people have gone through,” Andy wrote on Facebook.
Andy says the family is at Mayo Clinic to come up with a plan of attack.
Jack Hoffman garnered national attention in 2013 when he ran for a touchdown during the annual Nebraska spring game. The now 14-year-old later met President Barack Obama and won an ESPY Award.
