A local organization is raising money to help send members of the Omaha Police Department to the nation’s capital to honor one of their own.
The First Responders Foundation is sponsoring the fundraising campaign for officers to travel to Washington, D.C. for National Police Memorial Week in May. That's when Officer Kerrie Orozco's name will be added to the National Police Memorial Wall.

They would like to send an honor guard, pipe and drum members, others who were close to Orozco. The trip is usually paid at the officer's expense.
