A gold coin was found in a Salvation Army Red Kettle collecting donations in southwest Omaha over the weekend.
The Salvation Army says the coin worth $170 was dropped in a kettle at Mangelsen’s.
Since the annual fundraising campaign kicked off on Nov. 13, $564,693 has been collected, according to organizers.
Volunteers are still needed to ring bells until the campaign ends on Dec. 24. You can sign up by calling (402) 898-6000 or online at ringomaha.org.
